Concept to Reality:

Mentors and life skills facilitators may be able to offer their time and talent but may lack sufficient resources of their own to provide for such items as small gift cards to reward these youth for going above and beyond their challenge; purchasing a meaningful birthday gift; or engaging them in a fun activity – such as dinner, indoor rock climbing or a sporting event – that may help to build the relationship between mentor and mentee. Likewise, we celebrate their special moments, such as graduations, as well as, Christmas, Easter and other special days of the year. We would appreciate any help you may provide in stepping in to close the gap between our daily needs and the cost of these items. Gift cards are always appreciated! A tax-exempt, donation receipt will be sent to you for your contribution.

Our organization also has needs that could offset budgeted items. Your support means a lot to us in many areas of our service!

Suggested Birthday and Christmas Gifts:

• $100 would provide a Gift Card for New Bedding.
  Bed Bath and Beyond, Macy's, Target, Penny’s, Sears, etc.
• $50 Gift Card would provide much-needed Toiletries and Personal Items.
  Target, Walgreen's, Wal-Mart, Long’s, etc.
• $50 would provide Basic Household Supplies.  
  Target, Costco, Wal-Mart, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc.

Special Occasions

• $25 in a Restaurant Gift Card would treat one of our hard-working youths when they have reached an important milestone such as being named to the Dean’s List.
  Baja Fresh, Chili's, Olive Garden, Starbucks, Peet's, Jamba Juice, Cold Stone Creamery
• $20 in Movie Theater gift cards would be a treat to any youth and their Mentor!
• Unused Seasonal Sports or Theatre, Ballet or Concert Tickets
  Basketball, Baseball, Football, etc.

Big Dreams

• Reduced Rent or Donated Office Space of at least 1,000 square feet between Menlo Park and Sunnyvale
• Help us find church or school space to offer Youth Activities and Life Skills Events between San Mateo and San Jose (once a month or once a quarter)
• A new PowerPoint Presentation Projector and Screen

We’re sorry, but we do NOT need donations of microwaves, televisions, computers, furniture, used clothing, printers or fax machines. However, many nonprofits that you may find on the web DO need these items.
